The importance of traceability in contractor approval processes

Contractor approval should not only answer the question “is it approved?”, and this is where traceability comes in.

It should also answer more important questions:

  • when did the approval take place?
  • who carried out the review?
  • based on which requirement?
  • which document came in?
  • which version is valid?
  • what evidence exists?
  • did anything change afterwards?

Without traceability in contractor approval, document management becomes fragile.

The company may even have its documents uploaded, but it cannot rebuild the process, justify decisions or respond with confidence during an audit.

At AISP-GEDOC, we support companies in organising, reviewing and monitoring document processes, with a focus on control, evidence and continuity.
Because contractor approval is more than a simple sign-off.

It means ensuring there is a defensible process behind that decision.

The principles of evidence and auditing also feature in the international standards of ISO.

We don’t just implement platforms. We make sure they work.
