AISP strengthens technology partnership to develop an AI document management platform

In February 2026, AISP strengthened its partnership with a Portuguese technology company to develop and evolve an AI document management platform, with built-in artificial intelligence and fully configurable to the needs of each organisation.

In addition, the initiative comes at a time when document processes are increasingly complex and require solutions that can adapt to different sectors, organisational structures, geographies, requirements and ways of working.

The joint investment aims to respond precisely to this reality: to provide a platform that does not force organisations to adapt their processes to a rigid model, but that they can configure to the specific needs of each client.

A platform that is configurable from the outset

In fact, every organisation manages its documentation differently.

For example, requirements can vary by client, project, country, activity, company, worker or equipment.

Review workflows, statuses, responsibilities and validation criteria can also differ.

That is why configurability plays a central role in the evolution of the platform.

The development team is building the solution so that organisations can adapt different components of the process, including:

– document types and requirements;
– information fields and structures;
– statuses and workflows;
– approval and rejection processes;
– profiles and permissions;
– companies, workers and equipment;
– projects and work centres;
– notifications and alerts;
– indicators and dashboards;
– different languages and geographies.

Thus, the aim is for the platform to reflect the reality of the organisation and keep evolving as processes change.

AI built into the document management platform

Another central element of this evolution is the integration of Artificial Intelligence capabilities directly into the document process.

For example, AI can support tasks that traditionally depend on manual handling, such as:

– reading documents;
– identifying the document type;
– extracting relevant information;
– recognising dates and entities;
– structuring data automatically;
– supporting the comparison between documents and requirements;
– identifying potential inconsistencies;
– handling documentation in different languages.

However, the goal is not just to speed up tasks.

It is to turn unstructured documentation into information that teams can use within the document management process itself.

From documents to data

This evolution also represents a change in how we look at document management.

Thus, the document is no longer just a file that sits on the platform.

The information it contains can feed fields, processes, indicators and decisions.

In this way, organisations can move progressively from an archive-centred logic to one based on structured information.

Instead of manually consulting hundreds or thousands of documents to find specific information, organisations can start using that information directly in their processes and dashboards.

Portuguese technology focused on real needs

Strengthening this partnership also reflects AISP’s commitment to technology developed in Portugal and to a closer relationship between technological development and functional knowledge.

AISP’s experience in implementing and running document management processes allows it to identify the concrete needs of users and organisations.

As a result, the evolution of the technology solution itself can take these needs into account.

This closeness is particularly important in a market where organisations look less and less for closed products and more and more for platforms that can keep pace with how their processes evolve.

An AI document management platform ready to evolve

An organisation may start by managing documentation for companies and workers.

Later, it may want to add equipment.

Then, add workflows.

Create indicators.

Connect external systems.

Introduce Artificial Intelligence.

Or expand the process to other geographies.

That is why the platform must be able to keep pace with this evolution without constantly rebuilding the system.

It is precisely this adaptability that guides the partnership AISP strengthened in February 2026.

Configurable document management, integrated Artificial Intelligence and technology ready to evolve with each organisation.

Finally, this is the direction in which AISP-GEDOC intends to keep developing its offering.
