Access control based on document compliance

People, vehicles and equipment only get in when the required documents are validated and in date. With access control linked to documents, the gatehouse no longer depends on paper lists and applies the organisation’s rules instead.

In short

How document-based access control works

At wind farms, factories, construction sites and ports, checking documents on arrival is slow and prone to errors. The decision therefore needs to happen before anyone arrives.

01

Status calculated by the platform

The document platform calculates the status of each company, worker and piece of equipment.

02

Connection to access hardware

The platform sends the approval status to the access control system, for example to the entrance barriers.

03

Blocking and alerts

If a critical requirement fails, the system denies access and alerts the person in charge.

04

Every entry on record

Entries and refusals stay on record, ready for audit.

How AISP helps

Contractor approval linked to the entrance barrier

AISP implements contractor approval for companies and workers and assesses integration with the access systems you already have. In addition, the platforms we implement already send the approval status to entrance barriers.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Does a valid card guarantee entry?

No. Identification, compliance and authorisation are different things: the document status may have changed since the card's issue date.

Do we have to replace our access control system?

Not necessarily. AISP assesses integration with the access systems your organisation already has.

Does the GDPR apply to the data handled at the gatehouse?

Yes, it is personal data. For this reason, the gatehouse should only see the information it needs, with defined access profiles.

Does your gatehouse decide based on valid documents?

Show us how you control entries today. We will then show you how to link contractor approval to access.
